Kirkstall Wild Flower Garden

Utilising Manpower Services Commission teams in the 1980's a derelict area of land on which a church formerly stood was converted into a wild flower meadow with accompanying woodland, bog and sandy type habitats. A network of steps, a path along Kirkstall Goit and seating was also provided. The site provides a peaceful alternative route to walking along the busy Kirkstall Road.

When Morrisons supermarket and the new road system was established c2000 a new access route into the Garden was established alongside Kirkstall Goit.
