Nestling in the Aire Valley below the township of Armley lies the Leeds Industrial Museum. Originally the buildings were built for the woollen industry and water from the river Aire was used to power the machinery. The Museum is extensive with many passed local industries on display involving textiles, engineering, tanning and printing trades. To support this there are also working waterwheels, 1920's cinema, beam engines, cranes, locomotives and a host of other exciting industrial machinery to view and ponder over.
