Increases the range of amenities; appeals to younger visitors; health and fitness benefits; reduces pressure from unofficial courses in greenspaces elsewhere; greater degree of safety.

Maintain open views of Farnley Reservoir LNA by keeping the shrub cover between the path and the water cut back.


Identify areas of vegetation which can be cut back without encouraging access and keep these at a height which allows pedestrians and wheelchair users to view the reservoir.


Enhanced enjoyment of the site due to better views of the reservoir; will create a more attractive and interesting route for wheelchair users, affording them an unmatched opportunity to watch waterfowl and other birds with access at all times.
